On 28th October 2009 class 6B of "Schlossparkschule" Marksuhl got information about this holiday in the Internet . Afterwards the pupils worked with pumpkins to make Jack-o’lanterns out of them .

The results can be seen at our photos . The pupils worked in three groups . They also read little English texts about Halloween and decorated the room with Jack-o’lanterns and witches .

 

Jack-o‘-lantern

I am a pumpkin,big and round.

Once upon a time I grew on the ground.

Now I have a mouth,two eyes and a nose.

What are they for do you suppose?

With a candle inside,shining bright,

I’ll be a Jack-o’lantern on Halloween night.
